Community Asset Ownership
From Norfolk RCC
The Quirk Review
The Quirk Review findings on community asset management and ownership was published on May 15th and basically blows away many resistences to the transfer of public assets to community ownership. This could pave the way for many opportunities for community groups seeking suitable premises to fulfill many various projects. Obviously caution needs to be observed in taking on any asset to ensure that it does not become a liability.
The Government's Response to Quirk
has been one to encourage communities to stand and fight any resistence from local authorities who may try to obstruct them.
