Clerk required for the Governing Body of Happisburgh Primary School

Lady or Gentleman required for the above position from January 2008 to take minutes, type them up and circulate them by email for our half-termly meetings, in total 6 a year. A small honorarium is paid to the clerk based on a specific sum + the number of pupils recorded on the School Census Form. Aims and Objectives

Happisburgh School, as part of the national Space for Sports and Arts programme has excellent new facilities. These include a hall with a specialist sprung floor and changing facilities with showers. We shall be able to offer a wide variety of courses, workshops and events. The venue has been designed for both school and community use.

Our aim is to encourage access, participation and success for children and the local community.

The hall is 124.5 sq. metres with a sunken wooden sprung floor which is suitable for a variety of sports, plus dance and drama activities. There are two large storage rooms, one for PE equipment and the other for community use. The changing facilities include showers and lockers (keys available on request). There are separate changing and showering facilities for disabled users. All areas are accessible by wheelchair users.

We shall be purchasing staging, a PA system and keyboard for use in the hall. Other items on our wish list include badminton equipment, basketball hoops and 5-a-side goals.

The older children / adult class for Capoeira has been stopped in favour of continuing the younger children’s class for longer. The class has been moved to 3.30pm so that the children could get away sooner.
