Our Role
In 2006 Norfolk Rural Community Council celebrated 20 years of supporting communities in Norfolk. We are committed to continuing to provide and develop a range of services that meet the needs of communities. We lobby on rural issues at strategic level providing a voice for the local communities of Norfolk.
Core Purposes
- To work for social inclusion and the improvement of quality of life in rural communities.
- To promote awareness of the rural agenda and seek to influence decision makers.
- To research rural issues, and to promote and develop solutions to rural problems.
- To promote and support sustainable socio-economic development in rural communities.
- To provide information and advice to voluntary and community groups to enable them to help themselves by empowering them and building their capacity to work for a sustainable future.
- To develop partnerships with and between the voluntary, statutory and private sectors for the benefit of rural communities.

Room Hire
NRCC has high quality meeting facilities available for hire including our new computer suite.
The Batty Shaw Room
Our fully equipped Conference Room will seat up to 60 people theatre style or up to 25 people boardroom style.

The Wheeler Room
